Amber Beverage shares the enjoyment of Rooster Rojo
This is one for agave spirits lovers, as we chat to global spirits producer Amber Beverage Group about its award-winning Tequila and mezcal brand, Rooster Rojo.
Ansis Ancovs, global brand ambassador for Rooster Rojo Tequila, has a simple message for agave spirits lovers when it comes to enjoying Tequila and mezcal: enjoy.
Speaking to The Spirits Business during this year’s Bar Convent Berlin trade show, the global brand ambassador delved into the handcrafted production processes used to create Rooster Rojo Tequila, which has scooped an impressive 26 awards.
“We are for cocktail bartenders,” notes Ancovs, as he explains how the brand embraces its Mexican heritage authentically.
Pepijn Janssens, chief marketing officer at Amber Beverage Group, also shines a light on the newest SKU to the range: Rooster Rojo Mezcal.
The mezcal, which sits at 43% ABV, was unveiled for the first time earlier this year, and is made from agave that is cooked in underground ovens. Open wooden vats, covered with agave fibres, are used for fermentation, before distillation takes place in copper pot stills, sealed with local clay.
