Serum rum arrives in Belgium
By Rupert HohwielerPanamanian rum brand Serum has landed in Belgium after partnering with drinks distributor Premium Spirits.

The super-premium rum, founded by the Kratochvilovci Company in 2020, made its bow in Belgium earlier in the month at Premium Spirits’ 20th anniversary
Serum’s export manager Stepan Stanek commented: “We are already successfully cooperating with Premium Spirits with our Mintis Gin brand and we are very happy that we can also build the Serum brand in Belgium together.
“The first feedback from customers is more than great, so we are very much looking forward to the main season of the year.”
Serum is aged in American white oak barrels and comes in custom-made bottles inspired by Panamanian rum barrels.
It has seven expressions – two infused rums, two pure rums and three vintage limited edition rums – including Sérum Mamie, a blend of Panamanian dark aged rums with cocoa, vanilla and toffee, which was added to the range in March.
“We are very pleased to now have a new rum in our portfolio which we believe will be a great success with our customers,” asserted Claudia Hamm, director of Premium Spirits.
“Thanks to its balanced and delicate taste and appealing packaging, we are convinced that Rum Serum will attract new consumers to the category.”
Serum Rum has been making its presence felt recently, also making debuts in the US and Austria this year.
It will be at the upcoming Bar Convent Berlin, held between 11-13 October, alongside stablemate Mintis Gin.
