Lost Explorer partners with Annabel’s

Mezcal brand The Lost Explorer has renewed its partnership with members’ club Annabel’s to raise awareness for the Amazon rainforest.

The month-long Annabel’s for the Amazon campaign, which launched on 5 September, strives to inspire action and raise awareness for reforestation in the Amazon.

The Lost Explorer Mezcal CEO, Tanya Clarke, commented: “The Lost Explorer Mezcal is thrilled to continue our partnership with Annabel’s and The Caring Family Foundation for a second year.

“Our goal is to support, once more, the Annabel’s for Amazon campaign, which has created such a positive impact in our inaugural year together. The results have inspired us to continue to raise awareness about the critical deforestation crisis in the Amazon Rainforest together.”

Last year, The Lost Explorer Mezcal released 1,000 limited edition bottles as part of the collaboration, with proceeds put towards planting trees.

This year, visitors to the London-based members’ club will be able to order from a dedicated cocktail menu featuring serves made with The Lost Explorer Mezcal, which will be available for the duration of the campaign.

The cocktails on offer include a Heritage Fizz, made with The Lost Explorer Espadín, mango and Palo Santo sherbet, Pomello apéritif, elderflower and soda; a Tobalá Old Fashioned, made with The Lost Explorer Tobalá, salted tonka and cacao reduction, Muyu Chinotto Nero liqueur and aromatic bitters; and an Amazonian Gimlet, crafted with The Lost Explorer Espadín alongside passion fruit and coconut cordial, Parafante fig leaf liqueur, and Cocchi extra dry.

All profits from the menu sales will go towards supporting The Caring Family Foundation’s ongoing tree planting initiatives, with each cocktail sold contributing to the planting of 2.5 trees.

As part of the campaign, Annabel’s has unveiled a rainforest-inspired façade, which aims to showcase the ‘beauty’ of the Amazon rainforest, while bringing attention to the impact of deforestation.

Since its debut four years ago, the Annabel’s for the Amazon campaign has planted 1.75 million trees and seedlings across Brazil’s rainforests, with an aim to plant 2m by March 2024.

Previously, Annabel’s has collaborated with Patrón Tequila on a similar initiative to generate funds to save the Amazon Rainforest.
