Ryan Cecil and Kenny Coleman, who host the podcast Bourbon Pursuit, founded Pursuit Spirits in 2018.

The independent blender and bottler will debut its whiskey experience at 722 W Main Street, with a planned opening of autumn 2024.

Visitors will be able to choose their favourite barrel and fill their own bottles as part of the Pursuit United Private Selection experience.

The visitor centre will provide educational sessions on maturation techniques and explain the blending process. Events will also be held at the site’s shop including limited and rare bottle releases and tastings.

“We can’t wait to pull back the curtain and give Bourbon lovers a truly insider’s experience they won’t find anywhere else,” said Cecil, CEO and master blender. “We will take guests to the next level of their Bourbon journey.”

In addition, the facility will be home to a speakeasy-style basement bar with rustic brick walls and a ‘contemporary’ design. Cocktails and a menu of whiskey flights from Pursuit Spirits’ portfolio will be on offer, alongside single barrel releases and limited edition whiskeys.

The site also includes a soundproof studio for the founders’ podcast.

“For years we’ve given recommendations to Bourbon Pursuit listeners about the best places in Louisville and now we have a destination of our own,” added Coleman, chief operating officer. “This home on Whiskey Row will introduce more people to the Pursuit Spirits brand and our whiskeys will make new lifelong fans.”

In November last year, Pursuit Spirits invested US$8 million in future Bourbon and rye barrel purchases to expand its US presence.
