M&H became the first whisky distillery in Israel when it opened in 2013.

Through the new partnership, the distributor is looking to build on its ‘reputation as a trusted supplier’ of premium spirits.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome M&H into the Charter Brands portfolio,” said Matt Ashton-Melia, managing director at Charter Brands.

“For the world’s best single malt whisky producer to trust Charter Brands in helping build their international footprint is testament to the team’s hard work in recent years.

“We cannot wait to start prospecting the brand, and I would like to personally thank Tal Chotiner, vice-president, global sales, and Gal Kalkshtein, founder and CEO, for the opportunity. We’re very excited about what we can achieve working together.

“Whisky is such a tough category to get right, and we have taken our time in curating an attractive offering – to add M&H to Agitator Whisky, which we’ve already been successful in launching across five key market, puts us in a fantastic position to deliver our sales projections and sustain our growth trajectory.”

The distributor will execute deals in more than 20 markets worldwide with M&H, including in Greece, Hungary and Mexico.

M&H’s whisky range includes Element Sherry, and Sherry Cask, which is said to be the first whisky to be aged in Kosher Sherry casks from the Jerez region of Spain.

Chotiner commented: “Charter Brands is a company driven by a passion for supplying discerning customers worldwide with premium spirits, that is why we truly believe in this partnership.

“By joining forces, Charter Brands will import the M&H whiskies to more than 20 countries around the globe and together, we will continue to push the boundaries of excellence, delivering exceptional quality and unforgettable drinking experiences.”
