Belvedere is certified organic

LVMH-owned Belvedere has been certified organic after transitioning to crafting its vodka with 100% organic Diamond rye.

Belvedere Vodka is now certified organic

Belvedere Vodka will still use the same production process as its previous non-organic bottling, which includes the use of purified water and distillation by fire.

The move to organic certification is part of Belvedere’s commitment to sustainability. All of the brand’s vodka produced and sold going forward will be organic. It will be available from bricks-and-mortar retailers and online.

Sophie Clerc, vodka brand director at Moët Hennessy US, said: “When we have pledged to become an organic brand, our consumers fully supported our commitment. From the responses we are receiving, we see a tremendous interest and enthusiasm for this new iteration of Belvedere.

“We want consumers to understand that this isn’t a new Belvedere product, but rather an evolution of our iconic vodka. We’ve transitioned our recipe to feature 100% organic-certified diamond rye, crafted using the same proprietary process used for our non-organic predecessor that has been however upgraded in order to be organic-certified as well. It’s the same Polish vodka we all know and love, simply elevated.”

The vodka brand recently unveiled a ‘rare’ vodka that follows a 10-step process and uses a single harvest from one rye field.

Belvedere Vodka is made in Żyrardów in Poland with zero additives. Available in a 700ml bottle, the liquid clocks in at 40% ABV.

In November last year, James Bond actor Daniel Craig starred in Belvedere’s campaign, directed by Academy award-winning filmmaker Taika Waititi.

Two years ago, the vodka brand expanded its portfolio with the launch of a malted rye spirit drink – Belvedere Heritage 176.

LVMH was recently named as the first European company to have a market value of more than €455 billion (US$500 billion).

In more vodka news, more than two-thirds (70%) of American consumers were recently found to be more likely to opt for a vodka-based ready-to-drink beverage over any other spirit.
