818 campaign highlights Tequila versatility

Kendall Jenner’s Tequila brand, 818, has launched three limited edition at-home cocktail kits to highlight the versatility of the spirit for National Tequila Day (24 July).

The three cocktail kits have replaced the traditional spirits used in the classic Cosmopolitan, Tom Collins, and Old Fashioned cocktails with 818 Tequila.

“I have had so much fun crafting new cocktail recipes using 818 Tequila because of the depth of flavour across our three expressions,” said The Kardashians star, who founded the brand in 2021.

“People are often surprised to see that Tequila can be used in so many more drinks than your traditional Margarita, and we want to challenge you to shake up your favourite recipes and see for yourself.”

Jenner and her mother, Kris, have starred in a new 818 cocktail video to demonstrate how consumers can make the cocktail recipes at home – showcasing how the ‘versatility and complex flavour profiles’ of each 818 Tequila expression can bring a ‘new dimension’ to classic cocktails.

Each cocktail kit contains all the ingredients required to make the serve at home.

The 818 Tequila Cosmopolitan Kit contains a 750ml bottle of 818 Tequila blanco, 120ml Cheeky lime juice, 120ml Cheeky cranberry syrup, and two Viski angled Martini glasses. It is available to purchase for RRP US$54.99.

Meanwhile the Tom Collins Kit includes one 750ml bottle of 818 Tequila reposado, 120ml Cheeky lemon juice, 120ml Cheeky simple syrup, and two Viski European crystal Highball glasses. This is priced at RRP US$64.99.

Finally, a 750ml bottle of 818 Tequila añejo is included in the Old Fashioned kit, along with 120ml Cheeky simple syrup, and 150ml Bittercube Trinity Bitters. It also comes with two Viski European crystal rocks glasses. It is available for US$74.99.

“Just as we saw this past autumn with using 818 Tequila reposado in the ever-popular Espresso Martini, Tequila is a versatile liquid because it offers unique flavours that can balance and enhance any cocktail,” said David Yan Gonzalez, director of Tequila operations, 818 Tequila.

“Tequila has lots of natural flavours from agave, and is very complex with mineral, citrusy, herbal and floral notes that make it infinitely suitable for cocktails — the possibilities are truly endless.”
