The Spirits Business launches The GSMC Yearbook
The Spirits Business has released the inaugural edition of The Global Spirits Masters Competitions Yearbook, a new supplement featuring interviews with the top medallists from the blind-tasting series.
The Global Sprits Masters Competitions (GSMC) Yearbook features Q&As with the majority of Master winners from the 2022 edition of The GSMC competitions.
Interviewees span distillers, blenders, brand founders, CEOs, marketing managers, and more.
Notable names featured in The GSMC Yearbook include rapper Curtis Jackson, more commonly known as 50 Cent, who discusses his Master-winning brand, Branson Cognac.
The Yearbook also gets to know: Dennis Malcolm, master distiller at The Glen Grant; Dr Bill Lumsden, director of distilling, whisky creation and whisky stocks at The Glenmorangie Company; and Victoria Eady Butler, master blender at Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey.
Melita Kiely, editor of The Spirits Business magazine and chair of The GSMC, said: “The GSMC blind tastings already gave brands a global platform to showcase their best bottlings. With the competitions growing year on year, we wanted to take the opportunity to get to know the people behind the highest-scoring spirits a little better.
“As such, The Spirits Business team is delighted to introduce our readers to the first edition of The GSMC Yearbook. Inside, you’ll find Q&As spanning everything from industry trends to personal passions and celebrity inspirations.
“The GSMC Yearbook will be available for free to all readers of www.thespiritsbusiness.com throughout the year. I hope you enjoy the first publication of this new addition to The Spirits Business’ annual roster of reports and supplements.”
Last week, we published the most recent results from The GSMC 2023: The Tonic & Mixer Masters, and The DB & SB Spring Blind Tasting.
