Brown Water Spirits has revealed plans to relocate its OH Ingram River Aged Whiskey operations to a larger facility in Kentucky, US.

The brand was originally located in Wickliffe, Kentucky, and will now move downriver to Columbus where it will own a second floating barrelhouse, bringing the total ageing capacity of the whiskey to just over 6,000 barrels.

The expansion, which will double the distiller’s operations, follows ‘growing demand’ for the American whiskey.

“Wickliffe was an amazing place to begin our journey, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts, but we outgrew our footprint there,” said founder Hank Ingram.

“Since launching in the fall of 2020, we’ve seen remarkable growth. Expanding operations and moving to a larger location are necessary steps to keep up with the market. 2023 is going to be a big year for OH Ingram, so stay tuned for more exciting developments coming soon.”

The new location can also accommodate more than 15 additional floating barrelhouses.

The floating barrelhouses exposes the casks of OH Ingram River Aged Whiskey to the ‘climate and constant motion’ of the Mississippi River.

OH Ingram River Aged is available to buy in US states Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, as well as online via Seelbach’s.

Brown Water Spirits is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee.

Last month, Texas-based Milam & Greene Whiskey completed a multi-million-dollar expansion of its distillery, increasing production to more than 1,000 barrels per year.
