Distributor Amathus Drinks has opened a new retail store in Hampstead High Street in north London, taking its number of shops in the English capital to seven.

The new store stocks more than 2,500 products

The family-owned retailer has seen a continuous growth in its bricks-and-mortar sites in recent years, with two further stores located in Bath and Brighton.

Harry Georgiou, managing director, Amathus Drinks, commented: “The most exciting part of our ‘drinks to the world’ mission is the privilege we have to share the wonderful stories behind each of the amazing producers we import from all over the world directly with like-minded, adventurous and the most discerning consumers.

“The Hampstead area is the perfect fit for our ninth store, we believe the clientele will consist of a very cosmopolitan and quality-aware demographic that will welcome our products and services with the same enthusiasm as our other stores such as South Kensington and Soho.

“We carefully pick the areas in which we want to build our stores, which is why it’s been about a year since we opened our last store in Notting Hill, so when the Hampstead opportunity presented itself, we knew it was right.”

Amathus Drinks said it was committed to establishing relationships with the local people, and its highly trained staff will share their expertise with customers to advise and assist, helping to enhance the shopping experience.

With more than 2,500 products available in store, including a selection of premium whisky, Tequila, gin, rum and Cognac, the new location will also offer an exclusive selection of rare and fine wines, cigars, and will host events for customers.

The store will also offer patrons local delivery, and click-and-collect options.

Amathus Drinks is located at 4 Hampstead High Street, NW3 1PR.

It is open Monday to Thursday from 10:30am to 7:30pm; Friday and Saturday from 10am to 8pm; and on Sunday from 11am to 7pm.

The company’s other London stores can be found in Leadenhall Market, Muswell Hill, Shoreditch, Soho, Notting Hill and South Kensington.
