Hoxton Spirits expands spirits portfolio

East London producer Hoxton Spirits has added three new products to its portfolio and refreshed the range’s bottle design.

The three new products include the Hoxton London Spritz; Hoxton Spiced Whisky; and Hoxton Dry Gin.

Gerry Calabrese, founder, Hoxton Spirits, said: “We have always been focused on flavour. Regardless of the category, the liquid has to stand up on its own.

“The journey over the last 10 years has now come to a place that I feel is most representative of our brand vision. We want consumers to know we are a brand which represents a lifestyle quality and flavour which the new bottle and liquids now delivers.

“My ambition was always to create innovative products across multiple spirit categories under one brand: Hoxton. This is the category innovation we always envisaged and now we are there.”

The new products are accompanied by a refreshed bottle design, which is said to be an elevation on the previous concepts. Each spirit is presented in bottles that have been newly designed to complement ‘the premium quality of the liquid’.

The bespoke design integrates ‘pop colours’, allowing consistency across the brand style.

Furthermore, the glass of the bottle depicts embossed square design.

The development of the new range is a key part of the business strategy, which aims to provide consumers with the opportunity to enjoy Hoxton Spirits on any occasion.

The new spirits have been created for both on- and off-trade consumers, with the view of simplifying the cocktail process and encouraging drinkers to be ‘legendary mixologists’.

The 20% ABV Hoxton Spritz was inspired by the Italian aperitivo combined with elements of the British summer.

The gin base combines fino Sherry with summer fruits, blackberry, raspberries, cherry and blueberries to create the brand’s entry into the aperitif category, and is priced at RRP £28.95 (US$34.86).

The Hoxton Spiced Whisky is bottled at 40% ABV and made using a blended Scotch whisky that has been macerated with spices and fruits such as vanilla, raisin, cocoa, orange, cinnamon, anise and nutmeg for notes of spicy gingerbread on the palate. It is priced at £38.95 (US$46.90) per 700ml bottle.

The Hoxton Dry Gin heroes juniper and grapefruit to create ‘the perfect balance between acidity and dryness’. It is bottled at 40% ABV and priced at RRP £31.25 (US$37.63).

The range is available in the UK from 14 February via Drinks Supermarket, Amazon, Whisky Exchange, Master of Malt, Drinks Direct and directly from www.hoxtonspirits.com.

Hoxton Spirits is distributed by Empora Brands.

Last year the company secured a seven-figure investment to help expand its portfolio and grow internationally.
