The limited edition Seventy One Gin Feu de Nuit gift box retails for £199 (US$247).

The two brands have come together to curate the ‘ultimate evening at home’, by creating the Feu de Nuit gift box containing a 700ml bottle of Seventy One Gin and six black Ernesto taper candles, presented in a custom-made coffret.

Founded by London-based fashion director and photographer Mert Alas, Seventy One Gin was inspired by the art of perfumery.

It has been crafted with botanicals such as juniper, angelica, lemon, damask rose, grapefruit and cinchona, which are individually distilled and matured for 71 days in three types of oak – virgin casks from Spain, PX Sherry casks and French oak barrels.

“I have long been fascinated by fire,” commented Alas. “For me, the golden glow of candlelight holds a hypnotic power, everything illuminated made more beautiful and mysterious.

“As one of the oldest and most revered candlemakers in the world, Trudon shares my relentless passion for perfection and will ignite the nights of Seventy One for those who are also devoted to beauty and mystery.”

The hand-made Trudon Ernesto candle tapers feature notes of leather and tobacco, chosen to complement the flavours of the gin. They are presented in a hidden drawer within the coffret.

Founded in 1643, Trudon is recognised as the oldest candle maker in the world.

The Seventy One Gin Feu de Nuit gift box will be available to purchase from seventyonegin.com from 1 February, and in Selfridges from 7 February, for an RRP £199 (US$247).
