King of Soho appoints new distributor

London-based independent drinks brand The King of Soho has appointed JBE Imports as its new distributor.

The King of Soho currently offers two gin expressions: London Dry and Variorum Pink

Founded by Jonathan Braham-Everett, JBE Imports aims to bring unique and high-quality global spirits to consumers in the UK.

Alex Robson, King of Soho co-founder and CEO of West End Drinks, commented: “JBE Imports’ dedication to premium spirits and exceptional drinking experiences in the UK has long impressed us and the team’s passion for spirits matches our own.”

Braham-Everett added: “This move is a positive and exciting start to 2023 for The King of Soho spirits brand. We are excited to be adding such a prevalent brand as The King of Soho to our portfolio.

“We have followed Alex and her co-founder, Howard Raymond, through the launch of both their gins and, most recently, their equally fantastic Copacetic Vodka. I am looking forward to working with them both, and building on their already strong reputation for excellence.”

The King of Soho was created in 2013 by Robson and Raymond in a bid to ‘capture the essence’ of Raymond’s father, Paul – a ‘legendary figure’ who sought to ‘bring pleasure to every corner of the Kingdom’.

The brand’s portfolio includes a London Dry Gin, which is composed of 12 botanicals including grapefruit peel, coriander, angelica root, juniper and cassia bark.

The Variorum Pink Gin was added to the portfolio in 2018, and is named in tribute to ‘the creativity and literary works of Soho’.

The Copacetic Vodka, crafted in small batches using copacetic English wheat, joined the family in autumn 2022. It is said to offer a distinctive undercurrent of toasted crumpet enhanced with a touch of lemon zest and black pepper.

The King of Soho collection can be purchased from retailers including Soho-based Gerry’s Wines & Spirits, and Caviste Wine, together with online retailers such as The Spirits Room, The Bottle Club and Amazon.
