The chocolate rum cream liqueur is made with Caribbean spices. It sits at 17% ABV.

The brand will enter Singapore through a distribution deal with Alcools Group.

Deeraj Nankani, executive director of Alcools Group, said: “Tobago Gold adds an exciting layer to our exclusive portfolio, with a product that has an immaculate taste and versatility to spark a new buzz in the market.”

The rum-based liqueur will venture into Hong Kong via JTW Beverage, which focuses on bar and restaurant sales.

“Singapore and Hong Kong are key gateway markets to Asia – both are truly vibrant and open to innovation, with incredible on-trade scenes,” said Helena Zakmane, global commercial director of Tobago Gold.

“Together with our new partners we see clear potential for Tobago Gold in the region due to our fresh view on the cream liqueur category and taste profile.”

Tobago Gold made its debut in summer 2021. It is now available in Trinidad and Tobago, the UK, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Iceland, the Baltics, Portugal, Switzerland, Armenia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

In November, the liqueur brand expanded its global footprint via new distribution deals in Switzerland, Portugal, Armenia and the Baltics.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, the brand secured ‘substantial’ financial backing from two businessmen.

A Master medal was awarded to the liqueur in The DB & SB Autumn Blind Tasting 2022.
