Ginato Gin expands presence in Australia
Italian gin brand Ginato has launched its Pinot Grigio and Melograno expressions in Australian retailers Dan Murphy’s and BWS.
The full Ginato range can now be bought in BWS and Dan Murphy’s stores across Australia.
John Soden, chief commercial officer of Kirker Greer Spirits, said: “Initially we launched the Clementino and Pompelmo expressions to Australian consumers with Dan Murphy’s and BWS, but following great feedback – not only from the retailers but their customers too – there was demand for the entire Ginato range.
“We are seeing exceptional growth and success with Ginato in the Australian market and we look forward to continuing to build on that success with our partners.”
The Ginato Gin range comprises four bottlings: the classic Pinot Grigio Gin, made with a blend of grape and grain spirit, and combined with Sicilian lemons; Ginato Clementino, crafted with clementine oranges; Ginato Pompelmo, made with pink grapefruit; and Melograno gin, made with pomegranate.
All gins are bottled at 43% ABV, and created using juniper sourced from Tuscany and citrus picked from southern Italy.
Earlier this year, the brand partnered with Gino D’Acampo, appointing the TV chef as its maestro del gusto (master of flavour).
The collaboration will allow D’Acampo to create Italian food recipes to pair with Ginato cocktails.
He will also work with the team to develop new gin variants and releases over the coming years for the brand.
Ginato Gin is also available to buy in more than 30 countries including the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, South Africa and Israel.
