Buffalo Trace creates Movember campaign
Bourbon brand Buffalo Trace has partnered with men’s health charity Movember to launch a nationwide awareness campaign.
The campaign will take place throughout November, with a series of UK-wide bar activations.
Key events include pop-up barber shops in Bristol and Manchester, where bartenders taking part in Movember will receive a complimentary wet shave while enjoying a Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned.
In Leeds, Lord’s Barbering will be offering bartenders a free Buffalo & Sparkling Apple Highball with all wet shaves throughout November – with a competition for ‘the best Mo’ taking place at the end of the month.
Buffalo Trace is also encouraging bars to get involved, by providing more than 50 participating UK venues with bar POS packs containing Movember tent cards and orange moustache-cutters.
Those looking to support the cause are encouraged to visit partaking bars, where any Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned ordered will come garnished with a moustache-shaped orange peel twist.
The partnership with The Movember Foundation has been designed to ‘serve as a reminder of the importance of conversations in challenging the status quo of men’s health’.
Movember Giveaway
In addition, Buffalo Trace has launched ‘The Great Movember Giveaway’ – a free-to-enter competition where a number of prizes are available to be won, including a BBQ School Experience, bottles of Buffalo Trace, and donation options.
To help raise money for Movember, all donation prizes won through the giveaway will be matched in value by Buffalo Trace.
Chris Richards, marketing director of Buffalo Trace Distillery’s UK distributor, Hi-Spirits, said: “We know the importance of never going it alone and we hope our support helps raise awareness and vital funds for the Movember campaign.”
Participating venues are encouraged to tag @Buffalotraceuk and #GrowAMoWithBuffalo in any activation content online for a chance to be featured on Buffalo Trace’s Instagram page.
To find out how bars can get involved with Buffalo Trace’s initiative, bar owners are asked to contact their local Hi-Spirits representative.
This week, Belvedere Vodka unveiled its latest campaign, featuring James Bond star Daniel Craig.
