The Bacardi-owned brand’s website has also released recipes and a competition to celebrate Halloween, which it claims to have always had a ‘special connection’ with.

The bottles feature Bacardí’s ‘iconic’ bat logo, and will retail for RRP £17 (US$18.17).

New recipes have also been created to support the launch. The new recipes include the Spookito, made with 50ml Carta Blanca, 25ml lime juice, one teaspoon caster sugar, five to 18 mint leaves, soda water and 10ml grenadine, and the Pina Ghoulada, which combines 50ml Carta Blanca, 50ml coconut water, 50ml toffee pineapple juice, 15ml lime juice and three strands of ginger.

There is also the Dark and Scary, a mix of 50ml Spiced, 15ml lime juice, 125ml ginger beer and two dashes of angostura bitters.

The five recipes each come with a how-to video, which have been published on the brand’s website.

Alongside this, the Halloween giveaway calls for UK consumers to sign up to be in with a chance of winning a £100 (US$110.40) bar tab in a Las Iguanas bar in their local city, with the runner-up to receive a £50 (US$55.21) bar tab. Winners will be announced on Halloween (31 October).

The rum brand recently named its new UK brand ambassador, appointing Lewis Cooke to the role. Cooke previously held positions at establishments including Melbourne bars Black Pearl and Byrdi, and has most recently served as bar manager at London-based bar Swift.

The rum company’s owner Bacardi also recently promoted Ned Duggan to the role of global chief marketing officer and president of global brands, following the retirement of John Burke.
