Anora Denmark will comprise Det Danske Spiritus Kompagni and the former Altia spirits portfolio.

Christian Alsing, the current managing director for Det Danske Spiritus Kompagni, will manage the new unit.

Anora Denmark will be operational from 1 January 2023.

Kirsi Puntila, Anora senior vice-president, international business, said: “The collaboration with Conaxess Trade Beverages has been successful during the past years. We are grateful for the work the team has done building our brands in a highly competitive market in Denmark.

“Now it’s time to stand on our own feet. Denmark is one of our key markets and we want to grow the business with the full portfolio of excellent Anora brands.”

Conaxess Trade Beverages has distributed Altia’s spirits brands since May 2019.

Altia and Arcus merged to form Anora Group in September 2021.

Anora Group also acquired Globus Wine, the leading wine company in Denmark, in July this year.

Jan Rose Pedersen, Conaxess Trade Beverages, managing director, said: “Our partnership with Anora has been strong from the very beginning. We have worked together as equal partners in a professional way, and Conaxess has built a strong presence in retail and bar industry by focusing on brand visibility, activation, new distribution and sales growth.

“We wish Anora all the best, as we feel we deliver back a business in good conditions and ready to capture future growth opportunities.”

Earlier this month, Anora Group reported 3.4% net sales growth for the first six months of 2022.
