Anora Group plans distribution unit in Denmark
By Melita KielyNordic spirits producer Anora Group will establish its own distribution arm in Denmark, ending its ties with Conaxess Trade Beverages.
Anora Denmark will comprise Det Danske Spiritus Kompagni and the former Altia spirits portfolio.
Christian Alsing, the current managing director for Det Danske Spiritus Kompagni, will manage the new unit.
Anora Denmark will be operational from 1 January 2023.
Kirsi Puntila, Anora senior vice-president, international business, said: “The collaboration with Conaxess Trade Beverages has been successful during the past years. We are grateful for the work the team has done building our brands in a highly competitive market in Denmark.
“Now it’s time to stand on our own feet. Denmark is one of our key markets and we want to grow the business with the full portfolio of excellent Anora brands.”
Conaxess Trade Beverages has distributed Altia’s spirits brands since May 2019.
Altia and Arcus merged to form Anora Group in September 2021.
Anora Group also acquired Globus Wine, the leading wine company in Denmark, in July this year.

Earlier this month, Anora Group reported 3.4% net sales growth for the first six months of 2022.
