Tobago Gold enters the UK
Caribbean rum liqueur brand Tobago Gold has launched in the UK after securing a listing with distributor Skylark Spirits.
The brand’s Caribbean Chocolate Rum Cream liqueur will be available for consumers in the UK through Skylark Spirits.
“Skylark are very well-known rum specialists in the UK and beyond, and as Tobago Gold is steeped in the Caribbean rum and cocoa tradition, I have full trust in their ability to position our rum cream in the best way on the market,” said Helena Zakmane, commercial director of Tobago Gold.
“We have a lot planned for the coming months to make sure Tobago Gold is visible and active in one of the most exciting and dynamic spirits markets in the world – the UK.”
Launched by Lars Söderström in 2020, the liqueur (17% ABV) is a blend of rum, Trinitario and Criollo cocoa, and spices.
Skylark Spirits is an importer and distributor of cane spirits based in the UK.
“We are thrilled to be able to bring the exciting Caribbean Chocolate Rum Cream to the UK market,” said Jaz Anand, co-owner and sales director of Skylark Spirits. “It is inspired by the traditional drink of ‘cocoa tea’ and created with premium Criollo and Trinitario beans.”

Tobago Gold will aim to build a strong market presence in the grocery channel, as well as boost its presence in on-trade venues.
In March this year, the brand expanded its presence across Europe, entering markets such as Belgium and Sweden through distributor Jet Import.
