Double Dutch releases Pink Grapefruit soda

Tonic and mixer producer Double Dutch Drinks has added a Pink Grapefruit soda to its portfolio.

A Paloma made with Pink Grapefruit soda is “the quintessential taste of summer”

The launch has been timed to coincide with National Tequila Day (24 July), and is said to be the ‘perfect partner for the signature Paloma serve’.

Double Dutch co-founder Raissa de Haas commented: “We couldn’t be more excited to launch our Pink Grapefruit soda to make every Double Dutch party that bit better. A Paloma is one of mine and Joyce’s favourite cocktails and we’ve developed a delicious, zesty recipe to ensure each, and every Paloma made with our Pink Grapefruit soda is the quintessential taste of summer.”

Double Dutch’s Pink Grapefruit soda follows the ‘distinctive style’ of the mixer range, with dual flavours of grapefruit and Persian lime. The combination offers a blend of sweetness and depth.

It is recommended paired with Tequila, mezcal and all white spirits.

To celebrate the launch of Pink Grapefruit and National Tequila Day, Double Dutch is hosting a pop-up Paloma party in the Covent Garden Piazza, London, on 21-26 July between 1pm-9pm (BST).

It is now available from the Double Dutch website for £23.15 (US$27.70) for a 24-pack of 200ml bottles.

Double Dutch says it is committed to ‘continually innovating in the category’, and identifying flavourful spirit mixers for easy and consistent cocktail-making at home.

Pink Grapefruit joins the Double Dutch portfolio comprising Cucumber & Watermelon, Pomegranate & Basil and Cranberry & Ginger, as well as a premium Skinny Tonic Water, Indian Tonic Water, Double Lemon and Ginger Ale. The brand also offers a Bloody Mary Soda and a spicy Margarita Soda.

The Double Dutch Ginger Beer expression was named this year’s Taste Master in The Tonic and Mixer Masters 2022.

In 2020, Double Dutch sold a minority stake of the company to the Heineken family.
