Sapling Spirits teams up with Incipio Group

British brand Sapling Spirits has partnered with London-based bar group Incipio to relaunch its on-trade tree planting initiative.

From 1 June, guests at Incipio Group venues can order a Tree Planter cocktail made with Sapling Vodka or Sapling Gin. For each cocktail sold, Sapling will plant a tree at one of their many planting projects.

The brand hopes to build on the success of the 2021 partnership in which they exceeded a target of 1,000 trees, planting 1,437 trees together over the course of a month.

For 2022, Incipio and Sapling hope to plant 2,000 trees, with progress trackable on social media via twice weekly updates on the Incipio Group venues’ Instagram accounts.

At Incipio’s Dear Grace venue, guests will be able to order the Sapling Sangria made with Sapling Gin, Ribbonwood Sauvignon Blanc, banana peel, kiwi syrup, apple and ginger ale; and the Sapling Sour made with Sapling Vodka, matcha, apple, honey, lemon and Miraculous Foamer.

The kiwi syrup and banana peel in the Sapling Sangria are both created using leftover fruit from the Dear Grace kitchen.

London venues Percy’s, The Prince, Pergola on the Wharf and Lost in Brixton will serve the Sapling Sour and the Sapling Negroni, made with Sapling Gin, Campari and Discarded Vermouth. Discarded Vermouth is also environmentally friendly, made from discarded coffee bean cascara.

The initiative is an extension of Sapling’s existing tree planting project, for which the brand plants a tree for every bottle of its spirits sold. Customers can track each tree using a unique number found on each bottle on Sapling Spirits’ website.

The planting projects take place all over the UK, both at locations chosen by the team and in partnership with their stockists.

The brand also supports regenerative farming which helps lower emissions from transport and reduces its carbon footprint through sustainable land management.

Sapling is constantly re-examining its green credentials to ensure that its process is as sustainable as possible.

The partnership will run until 1 July.
