Punchy launches Vitamin D mixers
By Georgie CollinsNon-alcoholic canned beverage brand Punchy has debuted three new flavoured mixers containing 50% of the recommended daily intake of Vitamin D.

The brand has used premium natural ingredients to create its three canned offerings: Holiday Romance, made with peach, ginger and chai; Golden Hour, comprising blood orange, bitters and cardamom; and First Dip, consisting of cucumber, yuzu and rosemary.
Each drink is vegan, gluten free, and low in sugar and calories without any preservatives or artificial sweeteners.
The non-alcoholic cans can be consumed alone as an alternative to sugary sodas, or used as a mixer to create cocktails.
Punchy’s founder Paddy Cavanagh-Butler said: “Punchy is primarily used as a standalone soft drink but we also see lots of our customers adding a premium spirit when serving at home, to make things a bit more punchy.”
The brand recommends pairing each can with Sapling Vodka to create its signature collection of Spritzes.
The addition of Vitamin D to the recipe is in response to research by the British Nutrition Foundation which found that one in six adults in the UK are deficient in Vitamin D.
“Vitamin D keeps your immune system rolling with the punches – but for half the year during winter we don’t get enough from sunlight. That’s why we’ve charged every can of Punchy with 200 IU vitamin D (50% RI) – just enough to give a balanced diet an extra boost,” Cavanagh-Butler added.
Along with the addition of Vitamin D to the Punchy recipes, the brand has also released a new ‘sleeker’ can design.
The brand uses plastic-free packaging and 1% of all its sales and 1% of its stock goes to Punchy’s charity partner, The Great Oven.
Punchy previously operated as a fruit punch company offering a range of canned cocktails, each available with or without alcohol.
