Kavalan redesigns King Car Conductor whisky
By Nicola CarruthersTaiwanese producer Kavalan has revealed a new packaging design for its King Car Conductor whisky.
First launched in 2011, King Car Conductor is the first Kavalan whisky released to pay tribute to the brand’s parent company King Car Group.
The new label design presents ‘King Car Conductor’ written in a semi-cursive Chinese calligraphic script in gold, paired with flowing lines to reference the Snow Mountain where Kavalan sources its mineral rich meltwaters.
King Car Conductor was matured and vatted from multiple oak barrels.
The resulting liquid offers notes of papaya, banana and green apple with ‘rich and floral complexities’.
Kavalan Distillery, based in Yilan County, has been producing single malt whisky in Taiwan since 2005.
In November, the distiller launched a new expression matured in three different Sherry casks.
