French brand Gibson’s has expanded its flavoured gin range with the addition of a Blood Orange expression.

Balanced with the freshness and bitterness of blood oranges, Blood Orange is the second flavoured gin in the brand’s portfolio, joining Gibson’s Pink Gin, which launched in 2019.

Chanhy Bastos, international brand manager, said: “After the success of Gibson’s Pink, we are delighted to enrich our range of flavoured gin with a delicious and vibrant innovation.

“Featured in our iconic Gibson’s bottle, reminder of its authentic premium quality, Gibson’s Blood Orange will help to consolidate our position in Europe and continue our conquest of the international market.”

Bright orange in colour, the the gin is accompanied by equally colourful packaging, with golden hues designed to be reminiscent of the ‘shimmering and warm’ reflections of the sun covering the blood oranges.

With a zesty taste, the gin offers an ‘original twist’ for cocktail making. It is recommended served with tonic and a garnish of a blood orange slice and basil sprig.

The Blood Orange  expression has launched globally, supported by a 360° marketing campaign featuring animations on social media, press support, gourmet recipes and other local developments in individual countries.

It is available in a 700ml bottling and clocks in at 37.5 % ABV.

The brand will debut a one-litre offering later in the year.

Further activity in the world of flavoured gins includes Cornish gin brand Tarquin’s adding a pink expression to its portfolio, made with 14 botanicals.
