Ninety years of experience has earned Sanpellegrino a worldwide reputation for sophisticated sparkling serves. Now the proudly Italian brand has created a fresh range of super-premium mixers guaranteed to enhance early-evening aperitivo hour.

The collection already comprises four distinguished flavours – Tonica Citrus, Tonica Oakwood, Limonata, and Aranciata – which are about to be joined by two new expressions: Ginger Beer and Tastefully Light Tonic. Each offering skilfully balances bitter-sweet, crisp and vibrant flavours, presented in beautiful glass bottles.

Only the finest ingredients are used to craft Sanpellegrino’s sparkling drinks – and it’s been that way since 1932. It’s how the company consistently creates authentic, refreshing premium drinks.

With the new range, Sanpellegrino hopes to bring people together in the Italian way, through traditional aperitivo drinking occasions. Each of the six sparkling drinks is made to be enjoyed in shared settings, either mixed in a cocktail, to lift a mocktail, or simply served over ice with a slice of citrus fruit.

Whatever your preference, Sanpellegrino welcomes consumers to savour their drinking moments in style.

Michela Tasso, Sanpellegrino UK brand manager, says: “We can see that early-evening consumption – known in Italy as the aperitivo moment – keeps growing, and that a strong cocktail offering provides great benefits to outlets, with cocktails accounting for 7% of total food-and-drink sales in 2021, compared with 4% in 2019.

“Italian to our core, this aperitivo hour is something we have always embraced at Sanpellegrino, and are delighted that we can now enhance this moment with the launch of our new Italian mixers range. Indeed, for moments to savour, mix like an Italian.”

As Sanpellegrino strives to grow its premium mixer portfolio, this year’s focus will be largely fixed on building distribution and advocacy in the UK on-trade. The Italian brand has its sights set on hotels, restaurants and bars, determined to add some extra sparkle to the burgeoning mixer category.
