El Bandarra launches Aperitivo Week

Barcelona-born aperitivo brand El Bandarra has launched its inaugural Aperitivo Week, which will run from 21-28 May.

Aperitivo Week is a celebration honouring of the Spanish tradition of ‘La hora del aperitivo’, a pre-lunch moment that sees friends gather together to enjoy drinks and tapas.

Celebrations will commence on Saturday at Vinoteca Kings Cross, where El Bandarra brand ambassador Alexa Farrow will be offering samples of the aperitivo from a branded TukTuk from 4pm-7pm. The venue will offer an Aperitivo Week menu, which is available at all Vinoteca sites, and includes the Bandarra Spritz and the Alfresco and Tonic.

In London’s Coal Drops Yard, restaurant Hicce will become the only stockists of the new El Bandarra Rojo 500ml bottle on its terrace.

Across London, burger chain Meat Liquor will be serving El Bandarra aperitivo cocktails at all 12 of its sites, and will be offering diners the chance to win a trip to Barcelona.

The celebrations will conclude on Saturday 28 May with the opening of the El Bandarra terrace at Meat Liquor Clapham. Inspired by the ‘bustling streets’ of Barcelona, the terrace will offer aperitivo cocktails and entertainment. Those who book a table on the terrace between 12pm-4pm will receive a complimentary Bandarra Spritz and goody bag. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.

The first World Aperitivo Day will be rolled out online on a global basis on 26 May 2022.
