Amber Beverage Group’s Moskovskaya Vodka brand has launched a limited edition bottle to support Ukrainian people.

The company said the move is part of the group’s call for peace and freedom amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The bottle label has replaced the brand name with the words ‘Mosko Vodka’ and features a message calling for peace and freedom.

Meanwhile, the back label includes a QR code that directs consumers to information about the company’s assistance for Ukrainians and invites them to take part in further support.

Jekaterina Stuģe, CEO of Amber Beverage Group (ABG), said: “Within the first days following the invasion of Ukraine, our group expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine and gave financial support via a trusted charity.

“Military action in Ukraine is unacceptable to us, and our aim is to continue offering support to our close neighbours and the people affected.”

The new bottle will be available in all three Baltic countries, with 100% of its profits donated to the charity initiative, Stand with Ukraine. More than 80,000 bottles have been created.

Stuģe added: “During the course of this week, this limited edition will make its way onto the shelves of the largest retail chains and smaller stores in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.”

Moskovskaya previously stressed its Latvian origins, stating that the vodka is produced at ABG’s Latvian distillery Latvijas Balzams in Riga.

The company said all materials required for production are obtained only from European Union countries, including alcohol, bottles, labels and other materials.
