Staritsky Levitsky is produced near Lviv, Ukraine.

James Rackham is the CEO of Emporia and his wife, Lyubov Rackham, is Ukrainian with family living near Lviv.

To help the humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, the vodka is being donated to Emporia’s partners.

For example, The Cocktail Club will be serving Staritsky Levitsky cocktails across all 13 of its venues in the UK from 18-20 March. Each cocktail made with the vodka will cost £10 (US$13), with all proceeds going to the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

Emporia is also partnering with other bars in the UK, including Nightcap, Panda & Sons, Hey Palu, The Voyage of Buck and Draffens in Scotland, and 45 West and The Gadabout in Leicester, England.

All of the money from sales will go directly to the Red Cross appeal.

Furthermore, online retailer Master of Malt will be selling donated stock for £50 (US$65) a bottle. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross appeal, from 18 March.

From 20 March, The Covent Garden Social Club will host an industry event with Staritsky Levitsky to raise money for the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal. Tickets are available on Design My Night.

James Rackham said: “Like everyone else, we are feeling helpless at the situation unfolding in Ukraine, and my wife and I want to support in any way we can.

“With Staritsky Levitsky vodka we have a way to help here in the UK, which is very important to us.”

Earlier this month, The Spirits Business spoke to Nemiroff CEO Yuriy Sorochynskiy about the atrocities and challenges facing Ukraine.
