The 2022 Summit of the Americas will feature conference sessions, networking opportunities and more

The event will be held on 10-13 April at the Palm Beach Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.

It will feature networking opportunities, as well as a programme of conference sessions developed with content partners.

Sessions will take place on 11 and 12 April, and have been “designed not just to deliver impactful information but also to encourage dialogue and engagement from the audience”, according to Michael Payne, IAADFS president and CEO.

The programme will cover topics including Airport Infrastructure and Retail Challenges, a session created with content partners the Airport Restaurant and Retail Association and The Moodie Davitt Report; Cruise Retail in the Post-Covid Climate, with DFNI and M1nd-set; Adapting to the Future of Work, with Women in Travel Retail and Travel Markets Insider; TR Consumer Forum – Americas Special Edition, with TR Business and M1nd-set; LATAM Moves Forward, with ASUTIL; and Global Advocacy in the Covid Era, with Hume Brophy.

“We are very pleased with the engagement of our content partners and their efforts to develop valuable and interesting sessions for attendees,” Payne said.

The sessions will be open to all registered attendees. Registration information is available at

The show’s organisers have emphasised the importance of safety at this year’s show, and noted that registration and participation decisions are expected to be made later than usual due to pandemic. However, Payne also revealed that more than 40% of available space for suppliers has already been booked.

“We will do whatever is required and appropriate to ensure the safety of our attendees, and those requirements will become more specific as we get closer to the April dates and assess the situation with local authorities,” he said.

“Our business depends on travel and we need to be committed to supporting and encouraging engagement in travel and providing a safe environment and valuable experience.”

In July 2021, IAADFS re-elected Rene Riedi as the chairman of its board.
