Based in Austin, Texas, the ready-to-drink maker owns the Canteen Vodka Soda and Cantina Tequila Soda brands.

Founded in 2019, Canteen Spirits specialises in sparkling sodas made with ‘natural’ flavours, as well as vodka and Tequila.

Its latest launch, Canteen Gin Spritz, is available in three flavours: Blossom, Citrus and Ruby.

Brandon Cason, CEO and co-founder of Canteen Spirits, said: “We’re creating a premium cocktail experience with three light and refreshing flavours that emphasise the botanical nature of gin and feature better-for-you ingredients.”

The Blossom Gin Spritz is made with hibiscus and lime, resulting in a fruity and floral expression. The Citrus iteration is crafted with lemon and cucumber, featuring a ‘refreshingly crisp cucumber finish’.

Meanwhile, the Ruby flavour is produced with grapefruit and rosemary, a gin Spritz which is dubbed a ‘true Texas classic’. The cocktail ‘showcases the gin’s grapefruit backbone’ and finishes with a ‘touch of herbal rosemary’.

Each canned cocktail sits at 5% ABV and contains 99 calories. The range is available as a variety six-pack with an RRP of US$9.99-US$12.99, depending on the state.

The launch of the Spritz line follows the news of Canteen Spirits raising US$31 million in funding to boost its expansion across the US and open a new facility.
