Beveland Distillers unveiled Indonesian brand Marama Origins in November 2020.

Made using Indonesian sugar cane that is distilled in a system of continuous columns, Marama Origins Indonesian rum has been flavoured with extracts of plants and fruits native to its local area – including vanilla and galangal root.

After ageing in American oak barrels, the spiced rum has a clear, dark, amber colour and aromas of spices and ginger, as well as notes of plums, raisins, dried fruits and galangal root.

The expression is available to buy in Illinois, Colorado, Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota, Tennessee, Kentucky and Florida.

The 40% ABV rum is priced between US$34 and US$38.

Illinois-based Stoller Imports is the US distributor for Beveland’s Suau brandy. The companies first partnered in 2016.
