The Drinks Drop debuts bag-in-box cocktailsBy Alice Brooker
UK-based The Drinks Drop has teamed up with six bars to launch bag-in-box sharing cocktails.
The partnership between cocktail delivery service The Drinks Drop and bars in London and Manchester has resulted in a menu of six serves.
The three-litre boxed cocktail contains 20 servings of a cocktail crafted by the bars, including a Plum Negroni, created by Hawksmoor. It is made with Campari, plum spirit, vodka, vermouth, sour plum and almond-flavoured crème liqueur.
The product combines ‘high-end drinking’ with the ‘portable convenience’ of the boxed packaging, using brands such as Patrón Tequila.
Manchester-based Crazy Pedro’s has crafted a Watermelon Margarita, while London’s Laki Kane offers a Cuban Colada – a mix of Ron Santiago de Cuba 11 years old, coconut and pineapple syrup, supasawa and caramel.
London bar Trailer Happiness offers rum-based summer serve Trailer Daiquiri, combining Ron Santiago de Cuba Carta Blanca rum, grapefruit, pineapple syrup and supasawa.
Doña bar in London’s Shoreditch provides Don’s Peach Cooler, mixing mezcal and peach tea, among other ingredients. Bar Average presents the classic combination of vodka, cranberry juice and peach liquor for its Viking Woo Woo.
Each box is priced for an RRP of £86 (US$118.83), which amounts to £4.30 (US$5.94) per cocktail and includes next day delivery across the UK.
