Artesian names Giulia Cuccurullo head bartender
By Alice BrookerAcclaimed London-based bar Artesian has promoted Giulia Cuccurullo to head bartender.

Cuccurullo has worked at Artesian, located in The Langham Hotel, since 2018.
She will also continue representing Artesian as a brand ambassador within the drinks industry, a role she has held for the past three years in drinks and cocktail competitions.
The new head bartender is known for her simple, clean style in cocktails, combining unique flavours and placing an emphasis on sustainability with her craft.
An example of one of her cocktails is The Bridge, a serve combining Patrón Tequila, rhubarb cordial, fortified wine, tomato water and salt. It is finished with edible ‘leather’, which is made from leftover ingredients.
Cuccurullo said: “I’m delighted to be promoted to head bartender at Artesian.
“I work with an incredible team and I’m really excited to see how we can grow and keep getting better after such a long period of forced closure. I’m sure there are very exciting things to come.”
Cuccurullo created the cocktail Treat Yourself 2.0 for Artesian’s new menu Connections, a list of drinks inspired by the shared experiences that brought people together in 2020. The drink combines pink Champagne, strawberry, soy yoghurt and is garnished with pink powder.
Last year, Marco Corallo stepped down from the position of head bartender after a year in the role.
Former Artesian bar manager Anna Sebastian joined Served Hard Seltzer earlier this month, a brand co-owned by singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding.
