No.3 Gin: the key to success

Drawing together the perfect balance of juniper, citrus and spice, No.3 Gin makes for the most refreshing G&T, clean, crisp Martini or distinctive Negroni.

No.3 Gin is a classic London Dry Gin

No.3 Gin is a beautifully elegant, classic London Dry Gin. The expression was a labour of love between master distillers, top mixologists and Dr David Clutton – the only person in the world to have a PhD in gin.

More than two years were spent selecting the very best botanicals and painstakingly refining the recipe to ensure exceptional quality. The spirit and botanicals were distilled in a unique 100‐year‐old, brick‐encased copper pot still in Holland – the home of gin. With the best ingredients, the know‐how of the world’s leading gin experts and perseverance, No.3 Gin was born.

Award-winning

In 2019, No.3 became the only gin ever to be awarded ‘World’s Best’ four times at the International Spirits Challenge, and also snapped up the prestigious Supreme Champion Spirit Award – an accolade often won by aged spirits, making this the first time that a gin has been crowned the overall spirits winner, completely shaking up the competition. In 2020, No.3 continues to champion the world’s best spirit competitions:

• San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2020: Double Gold The only London Dry Gin to win Double Gold

• International Wine & Spirits Competition 2020: Gold, 96 Points The highest score awarded for a London Dry Gin

• The Global Spirits Masters: Masters in The Gin Masters and Design & Packaging Masters The only gin to achieve this in the Super Premium category

A recent bottle upgrade and new brand platform, encapsulating the same flawless liquid, have been delivering exceptional growth for the brand globally – +27% in 2020. Driven on by a desire to constantly improve and achieve excellence, No.3 has upgraded its bottle and launched a new brand platform to embody a stylish, refreshed positioning.

Flawless design

Designed by Stranger & Stranger, the new hexagonal bottle shape was chosen to represent each of the six botanicals in the No.3 recipe, and the turquoise colour signifies the refreshing taste delivered by the perfect balance of juniper, citrus and spice. The name and iconic key have remained front and centre, proudly reflective of Berry Bros. & Rudd, the brand creator’s home at No.3 St James’ Street for more than 320 years, and personal promise from No.3 that every bottle of the gin is of exquisite quality.

The Art of Perfection campaign was awarded Best Campaign in the World

‘Best campaign in the world’

Inspired by the distilling artisans behind its award‐winning liquid, No.3 introduced a new campaign, titled The Art of Perfection – which was awarded Best Campaign in the World at the 2019 MAA Globes Awards.

Working with a scientific photographer, No.3 examined and captured crystallised elements of the award‐winning liquid under the microscope (x40). What it revealed was an incredible abstract world – a dramatic landscape of colour within the finer details. It is these details that separate the exceptional from the acceptable. No.3 is a true masterpiece – a union of art and science that captures gin perfection.
