ProWine China prepares for 2020 show
Final preparations are being made for wine and spirits trade show ProWine China, which will be held in Shanghai next month.
ProWine China will take place in Shanghai
ProWine China will take place from 10 to 12 November at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC).
Despite international travel restrictions and social distancing measures due to the Covid-19 pandemic, organisers said there was every indication it would be a successful event and that they have received a ‘good response’ to this year’s show.
ProWine China said the market in China is ‘next to being sold out’ and that most companies are ready to place new orders for the coming year ‘after months of reservation’.
Organisers reassured visitors that all necessary hygiene measures have been put in place to safely welcome buyers from all over China.
For the last seven years, ProWine China has put a big emphasis on education. This year’s event will be no different, with a variety of seminars, lectures and masterclasses on offer. There will be more than 30 ‘high-calibre’ side events.
Events will include the three-day WSET Masterclass, plus a selection of tasting courses at the country pavilions.
For guests unable to attend this year’s show in Shanghai, WSET and other exhibitors will be streaming their events live.
