Nusa Caña video celebrates Indonesian rum
Indonesian rum brand Nusa Caña has created a new video to highlights its origins on the island of Bali.
The brand was created by industry experts Marc Rodrigues, Joe Milner, Andy Gaunt and bartender Sam Jeveons in 2018.
It was launched with the aim of reminding consumers about “one of rum’s forgotten stories”, that being rum made in Indonesia.
The video, which tells the story of Nusa Caña, was directed and edited by Andre Cricket, and produced by Rodrigues, Gaunt and Arthur Parrin.
Nusa Caña is based on the Indonesian island of Bali, known for its surf. The brand takes inspiration from the “beating heart of modern Indonesian island life”.
The rum is made from molasses from local sugarcane grown on the Indonesian island of Java, and yeast grown on Javanese red rice.
It is distilled twice in steel Chinese pot stills before being matured in teak casks to give the rum a “drier” finish.
Earlier this year, Nusa Caña released its first spiced rum.
