Tequila-based seltzer range launches in US

The founders of American Cocktail Company have launched a new range of Tequila-based seltzers in the US.

Each 355ml can contains between 100-110 calories

Described as “shaking up” the ready-to-drink market, Volley is a new Tequila-based seltzer made with 100% Blue Weber agave Tequila, sparkling water and organic fruit juice.

Volley is available in four flavours: Zesty Lime, Spicy Ginger, Sharp Grapefruit and Tropical Mango.

The new brand is the brainchild of husband-and-wife duo Christopher Wirth and Camila Soriano, the founders of bottled cocktail firm American Cocktail Company.

Volley claims to be the first “clean” Tequila-based seltzer on the market and has “completely eliminated commonly-used fake sugars, natural flavourings, essences and corn syrup”. The brand says other canned offerings claim to be made from natural flavours and fermented sugar cane.

The new seltzers are best served chilled and straight from the can. Each 355ml can contains between 100-110 calories.

Volley is currently available to buy in a mixed pack of four cans or a single flavour four-pack for US$11.99 or on their own at US$3 per 355ml can.

Volley is available in US markets including New York, New Jersey and Florida, and can be purchased online in 50 states.
