Brewdog Distilling moves into hard seltzers
Scotland’s Brewdog Distilling has become the latest producer to join the burgeoning hard seltzer category with the launch of its Clean & Press range.
The Clean & Press range contains 90 calories per can
The new Clean & Press range is available in three flavours: Cactus & Lime, Crushed Black Cherry and White Peach & Mango. Each expression has an ABV of 5%, contains 90 calories and is made with no sugar.
Described as an “upgrade” on the current hard seltzer – alcoholic sparkling water – category, Clean & Press is made with Brewdog’s Rogue Wave Vodka.
James Watt, co-Founder of Brewdog, said: “Rather than being fermented like other seltzers, our Clean & Press hard seltzer is quite simply sparkling Scottish water spiked with our exceptional single malt vodka, Rogue Wave.
“With Clean & Press we’re continuing to be uncompromising on flavour and quality, ideal for people wanting a lighter drink that still delivers attitude.”
Clean & Press is priced at £2.50 (US$3.10) per 200ml can and will be available to buy in packs of six or 12 from the Brewdog website and in select Tesco stores and online from 6 July.
In May this year, Brewdog Distilling added a cactus and lime-flavoured gin to its Lonewolf spirits range, followed by a limited edition variation of its Five Hundred Cuts Botanical Rum.
Earlier this week, English spirits producer Chase Distillery unveiled its own gin-based hard seltzer range.
