Tales of the Cocktail has been postponed until September 2020 and will take place in a digital format
The conference will take place in a digital format from Monday 21 September to Thursday 24 September.
Tales of the Cocktail said in an update: “While we continue to navigate the challenges presented to our industry during this global pandemic, we are also aware of the unique circumstances impacting the communities we serve.
“As some bars in the United States (and around the world) begin to reopen in what historically is known as a slow season, we understand the increased challenges that travel restrictions and limited capacity pose on our entire industry.
“For more than 15 years, New Orleans has been a destination for our extended family, but this year our beloved city will feel distant too. We are taking the time to plan, so we can bring all our communities closer.”
The annual festival announced several changes to this year’s event in April due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In May, organisers revealed the top 10 nominees for each category in the Spirited Awards 2020. The top four finalists in each category were originally scheduled to be announced on 1 June. This year will mark the 14th anniversary of the Spirited Awards.
