Amber Beverage names managing director for Americas

Riga Black Balsam owner Amber Beverage Group (ABG) has appointed Pepijn Janssens as the company’s new managing director for the Americas.

Pepijn Janssens has been appointed MD for the Americas and will also continue as CMO for Amber Beverage Group

In addition to the new role, Janssens will also retain his previous responsibilities as chief marketing officer (CMO) for ABG.

Seymour Ferreira, CEO of ABG, said: “Pepijn has significant experience establishing distribution networks in both the USA and Latin America in previous roles and his appointment reflects the importance of these markets to the development of our core brands.

“Since joining ABG at the beginning of 2019 as a chief marketing officer, Pepijn Janssens has restructured and strengthened ABG’s global marketing activities and brought a new level of energy and creativity to the team who are building brands including Moskovskaya Vodka, Riga Black Balsam, Rooster Rojo Tequila, Cross Keys Gin, Kah Tequila and Cosmopolitan Diva.”

ABG’s head office is based in Luxembourg. The group specialises in spirits production, distribution, logistics and beverage retail.

ABG’s portfolio includes more than 200 brands that are available in more than 185 markets worldwide.

Janssens said: “We have had to rethink our Americas business in reaction to Covid-19, as well as planning for future expansion and acquisitions.

“This move feels like the perfect extension of my current marketing responsibilities and I am very excited to bring my US and Latin American experience to ABG and work with our distributors.”
