Sir Edmond Gin grows online presence in Europe

Dutch brand Sir Edmond Gin has increased its e-commerce focus and expanded its online availability to 11 countries across Europe.

Award-winning Sir Edmond Gin is now available online in 11 countries in Europe

Sir Edmond Gin recently launched in Austria and Hungary, and is now available online in 11 countries, including the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The brand intends to grow its global footprint even further throughout 2020.

Dominique Makatita, co-owner of Sir Edmond Gin, said: “After being on the market for three years, we saw that the combination of a quality product combined with our unique brand image and strong reputation among spirits professionals resulted in a high consumer traction.

“The strategic move to focus on our online availability allows us to successfully build the brand in different channels, across different countries.”

Sir Edmond Gin was founded in 2016 and quickly built its reputation as an award-winning spirit. It is produced in the city of Schiedam, in the Netherlands.

The Bourbon vanilla-infused gin was awarded a Master medal in The Gin Masters 2017, and went on to win a Gold in the 2019 edition.

Sir Edmond Gin was inspired by the founders’ desire for a gin that was both “unique and versatile”. The founders took inspiration from the way Michelin star chefs use Bourbon vanilla from the Madagascar and Réunion islands in their cooking.

Due to its popularity, Bourbon vanilla is the second most expensive spice in the world after saffron, and is more valuable than silver by weight.
