Cove Vodka is ‘first’ for Devon

An English producer has released what it claims is the first potato vodka from Devon, called Cove Vodka.

Cove Vodka is thought to be the first from Devon, England

Created by Devon Cove Produce, the vodka is made using King Edward potatoes grown on Devon Cove Produce founder Leann Carr’s family farm.

Devon Cove Produce has also created a Cove Damson liqueur, made by infusing Cove Vodka with damsons.

Carr said: “After many discussions around the dinner table about the different ways you can cook and enjoy potatoes we decided to take things a step further and make potato vodka.

“Using the finest Devon potatoes and Devon spring water, combined with small batch traditional copper pot distillation, we’ve created a distinctly smooth and delicious vodka which captures the essence of Devon.”

Bottled at 40% ABV, Cove Vodka is available to purchase in a range of bottle sizes starting from 50ml priced at RRP £5.95 (US$7.50), 200ml for RRP £18 (US$22.50) and 700ml at RRP £39.50 (US$49).

Cove Damson is available in two formats: a 200ml bottle priced at RRP £18 and a 500ml bottle priced at £33 (US$41).

Both expressions are available to purchase from devoncove.co.uk and through various retailers in the UK.
