Bombay Sapphire to launch Create-From-Home hub

Bacardi-owned Bombay Sapphire will launch its Create-From-Home online platform tomorrow (27 March) to help drinkers express their creativity and learn new skills as they self-isolate.

Bombay Sapphire has launched the Create-From-Home hub to inspire creativity while people self-isolate

Launching at 10am EST on Friday, the online platform has launched following brand owner Bacardi’s Raise Your Spirits drive, which pledged US$3 million to support the hospitality industry during the coronavirus pandemic.

The multi-platform learning experience offers live-streamed online classes, workshops and cocktail-making sessions hosted by influencers from different fields.

To launch the service, Bombay Sapphire has partnered with Skillshare to provide complimentary three-month memberships to the online education platform. Society6, an online marketplace, will also host weekly Drink and Draw events and creative DIY platform Hunker will create a library of content and tutorials for users to access.

Bombay Sapphire has also shifted operations to produce hand sanitiser at its distillery in Laverstoke Mill, UK. The move follows similar initiatives from Rémy Cointreau and other distilleries around the world.

Yesterday (26 March), Johnnie Walker owner Diageo and bartenders from The Savoy hotel in London also launched a series of online programmes to educate the on-trade at home.
