The Rock debuts Teremana ad during Super Bowl

As Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson prepares to launch Teremana Tequila next month, the brand aired its first TV advert during the Super Bowl LIV pregame show.

The Rock debuted a TV spot for Teremana Tequila on Super Bowl Sunday

The spot starred Johnson with former American footballer Rob Gronkowski, former American footballer and coach Jimmy Johnson and broadcaster Jay Glazer playing a game of ‘Never have I ever’, as they light-heartedly mock Dwayne Johnson for never getting to live out his dream of playing in the NFL.

Posting the advert on Instagram, Johnson’s caption said: “Here’s our Teremana Super Bowl Sunday spot that just aired! I created Teremana to be enjoyed with friends and family and to bring people together, just as this incredible game does.

“Cheers to an epic Super Bowl Sunday to all of you, and come have a drink of Tequila with me next month!”

Teremana Tequila was developed by Siete Bucks Spirits, established by founder Johnson, co-founder Dany Garcia, co-founder Jenna Fagnan and co-founder Ken Austin.

Made at the Teremana Distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, Teremana has been designed to be the ‘Tequila of the people’.

Set to launch next month in Mexico, the US and Canada, the Teremana range comprises two expressions: Teremana Blanco (RRP US$29.99 per 750ml) and Teremana Reposado (US$32.99 per 750ml).

With an ABV of 40%, Teremana Tequila will come in three bottle sizes: 375ml, 750ml and one litre.

Last month, Teremana revealed it had signed a global distribution deal with Mast-Jägermeister, before giving fans their first look at the bottle design.
