Martin Miller’s to release summer-inspired gin in UK

Gin brand Martin Miller’s has expanded its portfolio with the launch of its first seasonal variant, which is made with rosemary and thyme.

Martin Miller’s Summerful Gin is the brand’s first seasonal variant

The limited edition Martin Miller’s Summerful Gin is made with the brand’s flagship variant, along with citrus and juniper.

In homage to the brand’s heritage, the gin undergoes a third distillation using botanicals from England and Iceland’s spring and summer seasons – Arctic thyme and rosemary. It is also blended with Icelandic spring water that provides a “silky softer mouth feel”.

The addition of Arctic thyme “brings a floral bouquet of flavour and distinctive earthy notes with hints of citrus and mint wonderfully mixed with the fresh flavour of lemon and pine aromas found in rosemary”.

Martin Miller’s said the launch of Summerful Gin demonstrates how the brand continues to “innovate in an ever-changing gin industry”.

David Bromige, co-founder of Martin Miller’s Gin, said: “As we celebrate our 20th anniversary this year, we have created a new limited edition seasonal variant for the first time using a blend based on our original.

“As a super-premium gin brand, we are always looking at ways to transform our offerings while staying true to our ethos.

“We are delighted to introduce Summerful to our consumers, allowing them to enjoy the quality of gin they have always expected from us but with a brand new profile full of all things summer.”

Summerful Gin is recommended served with tonic water, a wedge of grapefruit and a sprig of rosemary, or in cocktails such as a Southside or a Dry Martini.

Martin Miller’s Summerful Gin will be priced at £27.65 (US$35.70). It will be available to purchase from May to September 2020 in select UK retailers including supermarket chain Waitrose.

In January 2018, Spain’s Zamora Company moved into the gin category with the purchase of a majority stake in Martin Miller’s Gin for an undisclosed sum.
