Gillray’s and Rebel Distillers create gin to pair with steak
London bar and restaurant Gillray’s at the Marriott Hotel County Hall has partnered with spirit maker Rebel Distillers to create a gin that pairs with steak.
Gillray’s Gin features “zesty flavours”, which are said to enhance the flavours of a steak
Gillray’s classic London Dry gin is distilled in the UK capital by Rebel Distillers. Alongside a juniper base, the new gin features “warming liquorice root notes, which are designed to perfectly pair with fine steak”.
The gin’s “subtle hints of zesty citrus” are also said to refresh the palate and enhance the flavours of a steak.
Gillray’s Gin & Tonics will be served in the London steakhouse for £16.95 (US$22) per drink. The new gin can also be enjoyed by guests staying at London Marriott Hotel County Hall and will be available in minibars in the hotel’s rooms and suites.
Rebel Distillers was developed by London Distillery Company’s Matt McGivern and Dylan Bell and was created to produce spirits that were “not constrained by category restrictions”
Last year, Rebel Distillers used beef bones to create a new vodka that marked the launch of the Doom Eternal video game.
