ProWein’s Same but Different space returns for 2020

Wine and spirits trade fair ProWein will highlight the trends dominating the spirits and craft beer industries with the return of its Same but Different area at this year’s show.

ProWein’s Same but Different area will return for a third year at the 2020 show

ProWein 2020 will take place from 15-17 March in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Back for a third year, the Same but Different area will explore trends ranging from alcohol-free ‘spirits’ and colour-changing gins, to the revival of classic concoctions.

The Same but Different exhibitors will cover everything from niche products such as aquavit, mezcal and vermouth, to low-ABV offerings and more from across the globe.

Nicole Funke, senior project manager at ProWein, said: “Our exhibition hall 7.0 will once again become the epicentre of the international craft community.

“To the tune of 120 exhibitors from 24 countries, [ProWein] will be presenting ‘hand-picked’ spirits, beer and cider here.

“The trend show ‘same but different’ was the consistent step in the right direction with a view to covering the complete spectrum of spirit themes thereby also reaching out to new target groups.

“Here, a trendy stage is set up especially for small producers who can showcase their wares here.”

The Same but Different bar will feature an ‘education school’. Here, international guest bartenders will present current trends in the craft sector and offer practical tips for using spirits, beer and cider behind the bar.
