Vinexpo New York unveils 2020 spirits exhibitors

Trade show Vinexpo New York has already lined up exhibitors from 22 countries for its 2020 show – including spirits producers from New Zealand and Ukraine.

Vinexpo New York will take palce from 2-3 March 2020

Vinexpo New York will take place from 2-3 March 2020 at the Jacob K Javits Convention Center, and will mark Vinexpo’s third year in the city.

Making its Vinexpo New York debut next year will be The National Distillery Company from Ahuriri, New Zealand.

The company makes copper-distilled gin, vodka, rum and whisky, and will showcase its first three core gin expressions at the event: Verdigris New Zealand dry gin; Adorn, described as New Zealand’s “first beauty gin”; and New Zealand’s first hemp gin, Hemp Botanical.

It will also be exhibiting its first vodka, Aquifer. The company hopes the US will “embrace its unique range of spirits”.

Ukrainian producer Shabo will also be present at the 2020 event. The firm will present its vermouth alongside grape and wheat-based vodkas.

Additionally, Shabo will bring several brandies produced from its vineyards in Georgia to the show. The company said New York was its primary target market in the US. It hopes to build on its existing stature among wine and spirits shows at Vinexpo New York.

Last month, Vinexpo New York created an advisory board ahead of its 2020 event to “maximise the show’s value in North America”.

Speaking to The Spirits Business last month, Vinexpo’s new CEO, Rodolphe Lameyse, said the trade show could launch a dedicated spirits show in 2021 if all goes well at the inaugural Paris event next year.
