By Nicola CarruthersThe Savoy’s Beaufort Bar in London has appointed Enzo Sigaut as its new bar manager, taking over from Joe Harper.
Enzo Sigaut: “My new role is truly a dream come true”
Harper has moved to the London hotel’s American Bar to take up the position of bar manager.
Originally from the south of France, Siguat moved to the UK in 2013, where he honed his bartending skills at modern European restaurant Sketch.
Siguat then took up the role of head bartender at St James Bar at London hotel Sofitel St James, before spending a year as assistant bar manager at The Ivy Pool Club and Darlo Country Club in Sydney from 2015 to 2016.
After working as a bartender at the Fairmont Monte Carlo in Monaco in 2016, Sigaut returned to Sofitel St James as bar and lounge manager, where he oversaw the venue’s revamp and the launch of its new menu this year.
Sigaut will work alongside head bartender Elon Soddu at the Beaufort Bar. He brings a “passionate eye for detail, relentless consistency and wealth of experience in the high-end hospitality industry” to the new role.
“I’m incredibly honoured and excited to be joining the talented and knowledgeable team at the Beaufort Bar, one of the best hotel bars in the world,” said Siguat.
“The Beaufort Bar is magic, the team is magic, the menu is magic and my new role is truly a dream come true.”
Declan McGurk, director of bars at The Savoy, added: “It is fantastic to have Enzo on board. He has a great energy and represents the final piece in the jigsaw puzzle as we continue to elevate the Beaufort Bar.”
In July last year, Maxim Schulte succeeded Erik Lorincz as head bartender at The Savoy’s American Bar.
