Gordon’s debuts competition to help with festive chores

Gin brand Gordon’s has teamed up with former Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh to launch a competition that will offer UK consumers help with their Christmas chores.

The Diageo-owned brand is running a competition on Walsh’s Instagram page, inviting consumers to tag three friends they would like to “stop and enjoy a moment with”.

The winners of the competition will receive help from Gordon’s Ho Ho Hosting service on a number of festive chores including decorating or gift-wrapping, while a bartender will make a range of Christmas cocktails for the winner and three friends.

The cocktails include a Gordon’s Sloesecco, a Gordon’s Hot Pink and a Gordon’s Mulled Sloe.

According to 4Media’s Gordon’s Christmas survey, 62% of Brits feel they are too busy with Christmas preparation, almost half (49%) say this impacts their ability to stop and enjoy hosting Christmas and 40% would like some help with their festive chores.

The survey found that UK consumers would most like help with wrapping presents, shopping for presents, and preparing Christmas dinner.

“Sometimes my to do list is so long when hosting that I feel I don’t get enough time to stop and enjoy the moment with friends and family,” said Walsh. “That’s why I’m thrilled to team up with Gordon’s and offer this magical Ho Ho Hosting service so others can stop rushing around and take a moment to enjoy a lovely G&T with friends this festive season.”

To enter the competition, consumers must also follow Gordon’s Gin UK on Instagram and text (+44) 07546 494 760 saying ‘I’d like to stop and enjoy this Christmas. Send me a Ho Ho Hoster’, along with their full name, date of birth, phone number, city of residence and Instagram handle.

Entrants must be able to receive the service between 3pm and 6pm on 20 December.
